Modelling Drone 2: Pt3.

Moving forward with Drone 2, I looked to round off the modelling stage by adding in the top arm wire to the shoulder plate and then mirroring the arm across. Alongside this I also looked to finish laying out the arm UVs ready for texturing later on. Modelling Drone 2 :Pt 3. by Jasmine Masters

Modelling Drone 2: Pt2.

Continuing on from Minor, I looked to finish modelling Drone 2's arm by setting the arm into the side of the drone with a 'socket' and side panel to fill in the corner vent panel. Here I also laid out the UVs for the arm, new side panel and arm socket ring. I did find I had some problems with the wire that is to be placed on top of the arm that then connects to the drones main frame, I found that when the arm rotates so will the wire; which isn't practical for the effect I'm going for. So will need to look into this further. Modelling Drone 2: Pt 2. by Jasmine Masters

Intro to Major: Reviewing Minor & Major Proposal.

To kick off Major I began by reviewing the work I managed to complete in Minor and began looking toward to the work left to round off. With this I found I may have to adjust the course in which my project is heading as looking at the time scale and amount of work left to do I may not have enough time to fully film my short. So in its stead if the short is not feasible I may submit walk through shots of the sets alongside clean renders, so the audience can get a feel for the world I intend to create. In addition to this I could compose a scene of the Drones interacting within one of the environments I intend to create.. Major Outcome Proposal by Jasmine Masters

Going into Minor felt a bit daunting knowing the amount of work I had to first refine and build on before I could go any further. But at the same time, I was looking forward to the prospects of what I would be creating and looking to what the outcome would look like once complete. Moving on from Premise I found there was design work that needed to be added to help form and establish the world I’m trying to create, this included rounding off the set concepts, shop fronts and Drone designs. With this I felt I couldn’t move onto actually making and modelling my world if these aspects weren’t established first, so I took the time to ensure the foundations I was building were solid enough before I moved forward. When I began modelling for Pre-Vis, I tried to incorporate key details into the sets to give as much visual understanding of the town and its surroundings as much as possible; going forward I intend to use aspects from my Pre-Vis town through to the Lab Deck in Major; wh

Modelling Drone 2 Arms: Pt1.

Here I started the process of modifying Drone 1 to get Drone 2. With this I removed the front flap on the face of the drone and begun modelling the arm for the new drone. For this I tried to keep it all one mesh as much as possible to hopefully help reduce the amount of add-on connections I would have to make while rigging and skinning later on. Modelling Drone 1: Pt3.

Continuing on with modelling Drone 1; I looked to adding on the water tank, details to the front and top of the drone, as well as creating the number plate to the back to identify the drone. Here I also finished laying out the UVs for each component ready for texturing later on. Modelling Drone 1 Pt 3. by Jasmine Masters
