The Treatment:

The scene fades in from back to The Circus arriving at the Airport with cargo and livestock. The Ringmaster thinks back on how he got the Ringmaster job and recalls how he found a stray flyer on the ground outside the store he managed advertising for a new ringmaster leading to how he ended up with the circus and smiles. The Circus goes to check in at the Airport Lounge while the cargo is being placed into the hangar, ready to then be loaded up into the plane’s cargo hold. The Ringmaster goes with the cargo and checks the cage doors and their locks to ensure that they are bolted tight; as the Ringmaster carries out his checks, he notices that the Monkey’s sliding lock is coming undone, so quickly reblots it not noticing the Monkey watching intently with curiosity as he does so. The Ringmaster turns and the Monkey watches the Ringmaster walk away through cage door bars to the Airport Lounge. The Monkey’s attention soon diverts and spots the fruit bowl in the Airport Lounge through the door and wants the fruit it holds. With the goal in sight the Monkey comes up with the plan to distract the Ringmaster, escape and obtain the fruit just out of reach in the Airport Lounge. The Monkey remembers how the Ringmaster re-latched the door and manages to unlatch the cage door and goes about setting the Giraffe free as a distraction.

Cut to the Ringmaster in the Airport Lounge and is chatting to other circus folk while he picks up an apple from the fruit bowl and is about to bite into the apple when he hears a crash and commotion coming from the hangar; the Ringmaster swiftly shoves the apple in his pocket and goes to see what's going on. From first glance the Ringmaster sees the Monkey and Giraffe out of their cages and soon realises that the only way that they could have gotten out would have been because the monkey had been watching him as he relocked his cage door. He slams the door shut in haste and looks around the lounge to see what he can use to trap the Monkey and possibly get the Giraffe back in their cages. The Ringmaster spots the confiscated items box in the corner and draws out a Grappling Hook and Cargo Net. Heads back towards hangar doors and goes about setting a trap in front of the lounge door; unknowing about the Monkey’s intent to retrieve the fruit. The Ringmaster then heads to the Giraffe to get it back in to its cage but fails by stumbling and falling on his knees after trying to push the Giraffe. Determined, he tries and again and succeeds in getting the Giraffe back into its cage. While the Ringmaster is occupied the Monkey makes a start for the lounge; but not noticing the trap as he’s so focused on obtaining the fruit right in front of him. The Monkey gets caught in the cargo net with the use of the Grappling Hook to lift the net up off the floor.

The Monkeys plan to distract the Ringmaster in order to get to fruit bowl didn't succeed and ends up right back where he started; in his cage with the addition of a padlock on the cage door to keep him in and prevent him from escaping. The Monkey is now sulking like a child who didn't get what he wanted and grips the bars of the cage door. Ringmaster satisfied with how he handled the situation and retrieves the apple he never got to eat from his pocket and takes a bite. The Monkey whimpers and gets more upset and pouts, Ringmaster hears Monkey’s protest and looks over at the and sees the Monkey’s pouted expression and hands the Monkey his apple through the cage door. Hastily the Monkey grapples at the apple and happily munches away on the Ringmasters healthy treat. The scene pulls back and the and scene fades to black.
