Week 3: Poses & Arcs in Motion Animation.
Animation Structure: RECAP.
'Key' Poses & The Layout Artist:
- Are where you would have your main keyframes set and camera movement/scene that the characters are enacting.
- Here they are trying to describe the scene within the main key actions.
Extreme poses are big describing actions, that are usually over exaggerated to add emphasis.
In-betweens help create Bias and speed within a scene and help with timing.
Breakdown poses are additional key frames in-between the extreme and in-between poses' to help create fluidity and smoothness between frames. In Maya the system is automatically set to do this.
*interpolation is inbetweening, or filling in frames between the key frames.
*Stepped means that there is no change in values between two keys. With spline, the computer automatically adds in-betweens values between two keyframes. (Animschool Blog, 2017)
